About Joseph - Chasing Copper Light

I’ve always been drawn to moments—the quiet, honest ones that pass too quickly and the big ones that make your heart pause. Growing up in a big family, I learned early that life moves fast, and the most precious memories aren’t always the ones we plan. I’ve traveled far and wide, but the moments I want to hold onto most are right here—with my wife, Morgan, and the people I love.
Photography lets me preserve that kind of beauty for others. The kind that feels lived-in and real—not overly posed or polished. Just light, connection, and truth. I’m especially drawn to the soft, copper light that hugs Colorado’s landscapes—it’s warm, fleeting, and full of story. My goal is to help you see yourself and your people in that kind of light—and to give you something worth holding onto.
What Drives Me
Connection over poses – I’d rather catch a genuine laugh than perfect symmetry.
Story in every frame – Whether it’s a senior dreaming big or a family of six in organized chaos, each gallery should feel like you.
72-hour promise – Memories are fresh; your images should be too.
Photography lets me bottle up the good stuff so it never slips away, and sharing that gift with others is what makes me happiest
